Missing Cost Audit is operated by Kelbra Business Solutions LLC, a limited liability company registered in Missouri, United States. This policy explains exactly what the app reads, what it stores, and what it never touches.

This app exists to tell you which of your products have no cost recorded, and how much of your reported profit therefore is not real. To do that it needs your product costs and your order totals. It does not need to know anything about your customers, and it does not ask.
When you install the app, you grant it three read permissions and one write permission. The write permission covers exactly one field, the cost per item on a variant, and is used only when you type a cost into the app and click save. The app never changes prices, products, inventory levels, orders or anything else, and it never writes a cost you did not enter.
The app does not request your customers’ names, email addresses, phone numbers or postal addresses. Under Shopify’s protected customer data rules this app operates at Level 1, which specifically excludes those fields. We have not requested Level 2 access and do not intend to.
It follows that we cannot identify, contact, profile or track any of your customers, because we never receive the information that would allow it. We also do not use your data to train machine learning models, and we do not sell, rent or share it with anyone for advertising.
To keep the app fast, we cache what we read rather than querying Shopify on every page load. Stored data is limited to: your shop domain and access token; product and variant titles, SKUs, prices and costs, including a history of cost changes; order line records containing an order number, a date, an amount and the variant sold; any profit report, price list or shipment file you choose to upload, and the shipment records (freight, duties and fees) you enter; and alerts about changes to your catalogue. The access token that lets the app talk to your store is encrypted before it is written to the database, with a key that is held only by the running application and never stored alongside the data.
We also store your store’s own contact email address — the one on your Shopify account, belonging to you as the merchant — so we can send you a summary when something changes that your reports will not warn you about. You can switch those emails off in the app. This is your address, not a customer’s; we never receive or store any customer’s.
Order records are limited to a rolling recent window. Nothing we store identifies a person.
When you uninstall the app, your session is destroyed immediately and Shopify sends us a deletion request 48 hours later. On receiving it we permanently delete everything belonging to your shop. You do not have to ask, and there is nothing to opt out of.
You can also request deletion at any time while still installed, or ask for a copy of everything we hold about your shop, by emailing the address below.
That is the complete list. There are no analytics trackers, advertising pixels or third-party scripts in the admin interface.
Data is stored in the United States. If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, installing the app transfers your store data there. You may withdraw consent at any time by uninstalling, which triggers the deletion described above.
Depending on where you are, you may have rights to access, correct, export or delete the data we hold, and to object to its processing. Email us and we will action any such request within 30 days at the latest. We will never charge you for it.
If what the app does with data changes, this page changes in the same release, and the date above is updated. We will not quietly broaden what we collect.
